No more tapping! Making Fundraising Simpler and More Secure with the CollecTin More A15
We know that many charities rely on dedicated, generous volunteers to support their fundraising efforts. Often, these volunteers are responsible for overseeing your CollecTin device during events or throughout the day. While they play a vital role, you don’t necessarily want them to have access to device settings - both for security and to keep things simple and user-friendly.
How it worked before
Previously, enabling Fully Single App Kiosk mode on the CollecTin More, essentially locked the device so it could only be used for donations — and it required a few extra steps:
- Accessing the Fully Single Kiosk app
- Navigating to the settings
- Changing a number of settings to lock the device
- Then to unlock - Tapping the screen seven times
- Entering the pin
While effective, it wasn’t always the quickest or most convenient process, particularly when you needed to make changes on the go.
What’s changed?
We’ve made things much easier.
With our latest A15 model the device is automatically locked by default so the settings can not be accessed. Unlocked can be done directly on the CollecTin More A15 in seconds:
- Simply press and hold the power button
- Press “Unlock”
- Enter your PIN
That’s it - your device is instantly secured, with no access to settings and no need to use an external app.
