Custom User Permissions, now available with CollecTin

We’re excited to share a brand-new feature from our software partner, Give A Little: Custom User Permissions.

This update has been launched in response to one of the most common requests we hear from charities using our CollecTin devices – the ability to grant different levels of access to various team members.

Why Custom User Permissions?

Fundraising is rarely a solo effort. Teams often include volunteers collecting donations on devices, designers creating campaigns, finance staff handling reports, and administrators keeping everything running smoothly. Until now, all users had the same level of access, which sometimes meant too much access for those who didn’t need it.
With Custom User Permissions, our customers now have the flexibility to control exactly what each person can see and do within their Give A Little account. This means stronger data security and smoother teamwork.

How It Works

Turning on this feature is simple. Just log into your Give A Little admin account, go to Account → Users, and choose the new Custom option. From there, you can set detailed permissions for each user.

The new permission levels include:
•    Reports – Access campaign performance data and supporter details.
•    Campaigns – Create, edit, publish, or delete campaigns.
•    Donors – Manage donor data and preferences.
•    Devices – Register, lock/unlock devices, and assign campaigns.

You can update permissions at any time, even after a user has been added, giving you full control whenever team roles or responsibilities change.

If you’re already using Give A Little through your CollecTin devices, you can try out Custom User Permissions right now. Simply head to Account → Users → Invite User → Custom in your Give A Little admin account and start assigning access permissions to your team.
